Terms of Service
Welcome to WrenchLink. These Terms govern your access to and use of the WrenchLink website, applications, and services. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account.
2. The service
WrenchLink is a marketplace connecting automotive repair and body-shop Technicians with Employers. WrenchLink is not the employer of any Technician and is not a party to employment relationships formed through the Platform.
3. User content
You retain ownership of profiles, listings, messages, and documents you submit. You grant WrenchLink a non-exclusive license to host and display that content to operate the Platform.
4. Fees
Technician Solo accounts are $9.95/month. Employer plans are billed monthly at the rates shown on our Pricing page.
5. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WrenchLink is provided “as is.” We are not liable for hiring decisions, employment outcomes, or interactions between users.
7. Changes
Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how WrenchLink collects, uses, and shares information.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, password, account type, and City Pool.
- Profile information — certifications, work history, education, references, availability, business details, listings, and documents.
- Usage data — pages visited, searches, applications, and messages.
- Payment data — processed by our payment provider; we retain limited billing references.
How we use information
- Provide matching, messaging, and subscription services.
- Surface profiles according to City Pool and visibility settings.
- Process payments and send service, billing, and security communications.
- Detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
How we share information
We share profile information as part of the service and with contracted service providers. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, control visibility, and request access to or deletion of your information.
Data retention & security
We retain information while accounts are active and as required by law, using administrative and technical safeguards.
Cookie Policy
WrenchLink uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, and privacy-respecting analytics.
Types we use
- Strictly necessary — authentication, CSRF protection, and sessions.
- Functional — preferences such as City Pool and availability.
- Analytics — aggregated product usage measurement.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, discriminatory, or unlawful listings or profiles.
- Harass, threaten, defraud, or spam other users.
- Misrepresent certifications, identity, or employment authorization.
- Scrape, harvest, or resell user data.
- Upload malware or attempt to breach Platform security.
- Post hiring terms that violate labor or anti-discrimination law.
Billing, Subscriptions & Refunds
Subscriptions
WrenchLink offers recurring monthly subscriptions. By subscribing, you authorize automatic monthly charges until cancellation.
Billing cycle
Your subscription renews on its billing anchor date. Invoices are available in Billing & Invoices.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
Refunds
Monthly fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Taxes & price changes
Applicable taxes may be added. Price changes will be communicated before taking effect.
Disclaimers
WrenchLink is a technology platform, not an employer, staffing agency, or background-check provider. Employers remain responsible for hiring decisions and legal compliance. Technicians remain responsible for credential accuracy and work authorization.
